Qualifying audiovisual screen-based work may include but not be limited to video art, moving images, film, motion graphics, computer animation, game, movie and etc.

All submission materials described below must be submitted in English.

1) INTERVIEW PORTFOLIO FILM

• A video that recaps the applicant’s practice of works and ideas (< 3 min).
• All video files must be uploaded to Vimeo or YouTube and shared via a link.
• All non-English language entries must include English subtitles.

2) CURRICULUM VITAE & ARTIST STATEMENT

CV and artist statement must be submitted in PDF (3 pages max., A4, font size 11).

3) NEW ARTWORK PROPOSAL

• Artworks must meet all the requirements listed above.
• Artworks must be presentable on various forms of screens for post-exhibition.
• Artworks must be a new creation and must have never been submitted to any other competition/award or presented in any other format, exhibition, or event.
• All proposals must be submitted in PDF (3 pages max., A4, font size 11) and include a Vimeo or YouTube link of the reference video file (< 1 min).

• Submission must be completed online.
• All entries must be submitted in English and will be reviewed in order of submission.

All five finalists will receive $25,000 (USD) to produce their selected artworks.

The five finalists will be given the opportunity of attending Eyebeam online residency through a total of 10 sessions from October to December.

1) PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT WORKSHOPS

Two development sessions in total, approx. 2 hours each, to provide international context and critical feedback to the finalists’ work.

2) REGULAR MENTORSHIP SESSIONS

A total of six mentoring ‘Stop-Work’ style 90-minute sessions with all residents attending each meeting. Stop Works are gatherings for semi-private group critique. These mentors and established leaders in the arts will engage in group conversation and feedback, in the development of the finalists’ practice.

Eyebeam aims to create a hub for conversation and practice-sharing that is aware and responsive to systemic inequities and invests in the meaningful inclusion of historically marginalized groups and voices. • Five finalists will present their works through online/offline global art platforms.
• Details of exhibition or any form of participatory schedule will be further noticed to all five artists.

• The final Grand Prix winner will be announced during the ceremony held in May, 2023 awarded with additional $25,000 (USD) reward and an award certificate.
• Grand Prix work will also be exhibited in various global platforms. Further details will be announced.
